Schüler-BAföG
Higher education students in Germany are eligible for the § 2 BaföG (the so-called "Schüler-BaföG"). The amount of the government loan is need-based and based on the following factors:

  • Type of educational program

  • Parental obligation to support
  • Place where the program/degree course is held

Schüler-BaföG is considered a full grant - it does not need to be reimbursed. For further information, visit: www.bafoeg-aktuell.de

  • Individually determined student loan period
  • Low variable interest rate
  • Possible period of reprieve before repayment begins
  • Repayment period of up to ten years' time
  • Protection against basic risks

Financial Assistance from the Academy
Students successfully admitted to the program are eligible for full or partial financial assistance provided by the Academy. This is granted in combination with a BaföG request. Funding provided through the school's financial assistance program will only need to be repaid after the student has entered professional life. Request forms for financial assistance are available in the Registrar's Office. If you are in need of financial assistance, please give us sufficient advance notice as request forms can only be processed with a confirmed application.
